A few months down the line, we talk about the challeges we expect from this project.
Before a rig is passed down the pipeline or before you begin animating it is tested first to make sure everything works well. Check out this rig test done by our rigger, who worked really hard making sure it can be animated
We test out every single control, making sure it behaves how it should, and that it’s properly skinned. Alot of fixes and do overs were done to make sure the farmer moves the way he should.
We talk about the number 1 thing we learn as we journey together through this production.
This is a WIP of our animatic and animation blocking. The story and shots are constantly changing during the pre-production and production process, as new ideas and gags were developed, which we thought will be more appealing.
Here is a little acting reference done by our animators. Acting reference is used for weight shifts and timing. Inventing will not create believable motion.
Shot clips of us as we progress through the months getting feedbacks, critics and suggestions during braintrust sessions, live calls and meetings.
A little lighting and render test done by our vfx artist. Here she composites the shots, test to make sure there is no flickering and that all shots are consistant before the colour mood is added.
As the project comes to its final stages we look back at our experiences, the things we've learned, and most excitingly the outcome of the shortfilm.
